My experience working with Tony McClintock was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Being a first time home buyer, there was a lot that I had to navigate through for the first time, and Tony answered the bell every step of the way. He always answered any questions that I had, no matter the time or day, and made sure that I understood every step of the process. He truly made my home-buying experience the best that it could be. I went through the home-buying experience with my dad at my side most of the way as well, and he made sure to ease any concerns that my father had as well and answer any questions. My favorite thing about the experience was that Tony's focus was not to throw me into the first house that I saw, but to match me with a house that checked off as many boxes for me as possible and made sure that the house was right for me. There were certain houses that I was on the fence about that he told me that I could do better based on the asking price or that all in all that it didn't fit me, and that lead me to the house that I purchased, which I knew from the moment I walked in was the house for me. Our experience with Tony McClintock was beyond excellent. From the start, Tony was responsive, diligent, always willing to extend his assistance beyond what was required of him, and professional. Tony's responsiveness was immediately evident from day one. We were referred to Tony through our Shorewest realtor in Rock County. Tony responded to the referral, asked several questions to articulate what we were idealizing for a new home. He quickly set up email notifications so we would see those homes the minute they hit the market. Homes were selling quickly so time was of the essence when we did see one we liked. Tony would set up viewing appointments immediately and if he couldn't meet us there, he sent a representative to meet us (generally though, it was Tony!) and the bidding paperwork was in our email immediately. His diligence came shining through when the first few deals didn't pan out, he was there to keep us looking forward, never missing a step and finding us a new house to view. And, when our home in Rock County wasn't selling as quickly, and our realtor in Rock County had unexpected health concerns, Tony stepped up to give his expert advise on what to do to help ourselves get the home sold. On both sides of these transactions, with the multiple stressors that hit us, he sometimes appeared even to be a therapist. He was absolutely phenomenal; always going above and beyond for us. Going through a really difficult time In my adult life was going to be extremely hard. From day one Tony acted as a friend before a realtor and he didn't even know me. Tony took the time to prep my emotions before entering a showing. He did most of the leg work, asked a few questions and always stayed positive about finding me a house. My husband and I purchased our first home in 2006 at the height of the market, then the economy fell and as a result, our home's value as well. Even though we weren't having trouble making the payments, we attempted to refinance at one point for a lower rate and ended up spending money on an appraisal only to find out our loan-to-value ratio was too high. About a year ago we decided again to try to refinance to take advantage of the lower interest rates, but were tentative because of our past experience. We called Tony and asked him to do a market analysis for us to give us an idea of what our home might be worth. Tony was very professional and thorough as he walked around our home and asked all the pertinent questions. He worked hard behind the scenes to research recent sales and other related information required. He responded in a timely manner with numbers and ideas to increase the value further. It gave us a good idea about what we might expect the house to sell for, and since the remaining loan was lower by this point, we decided to risk paying another appraisal fee to try to refinance. We were able to successfully do so and now have a lower interest rate and monthly payment for our first home! Tony was truly an asset and he continues to respond to market related questions as we continue to update our home and add value in consideration for the future and the possible need for more space.
