Nestled on the banks of the Rock River, Watertown is conveniently located between Milwaukee and Madison. It is a quaint town surrounded by beautiful farms and scenic farmland. But while Watertown is rooted in agriculture, it also has a solid industrial and commercial base – the new West Side Industrial Park is now up and running. The Wis-Pak/Pepsi packing plant and River City/Budweiser shipping plant are also both located in Watertown.

Watertown has a long history of providing exceptional education, and is also proud to have founded the first kindergarten, an educational system brought to the United States by one the city’s German immigrants in 1856. In addition to an impressive public school system, the city also offers parochial schools and the Watertown campus of Madison Area Technical College.

Every year, Watertown hosts Riverfest, a four-day festival at Riverside Park that is completely based on volunteer effort. It attracts over 35,000 people to Watertown and features live music, a carnival, food, 5k runs, raft races and much more. Check out our blog post on Watertown’s 26th Annual Riverfest from this summer.
