Thinking of skipping the crowds to do your own thing? Consider these Irish traditions!
Make sure to dress the part! Even if you can’t get out to celebrate with friends and family you can still wear green or shamrocks, wear fun big hats and spread good tidings!
Eat traditional Irish food! Green beer and Shamrock shakes are not the only thing to get excited about! Hearty corned beef and cabbage, lamb stew, traditional Irish soda bread, literally any kind of potato, boiled ham, Shepherd’s Pie and the list goes on and on!
Listen to some traditional Irish music. Ireland has a long history with music and many folk songs are still relevant today. U2, The Cranberries, Celtic Woman and Van Morrison are just a few! Celtic, folk and traditional Irish pub songs are just the ticket to get you into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit!
However you decide to celebrate, make sure to keep in mind the rich heritage and tradition behind this fun and vivacious holiday!
