Your clutter may add up fast, but there are ways you can hide it! Here are 10 ways you can hide you clutter:

1. Get rid of your coat rack. Coat racks may be beneficial when you first walk in the door, but they give the impression that you don’t have much storage.

2. Manage magazines. Leaving a few magazines out can make your home look inviting, but having a few years’ worth makes you look like a hoarder! Leave a few magazines on your coffee table and recycle the rest.

3. Style bookcases. Stack books in interesting patterns and accessorize lightly. If you fill your bookcases, they will look stuffed and full of clutter. Choose wisely.

4. Grab a few storage baskets. For clever storage, grab a few storage baskets. Everything from your television remotes to blankets can find a spot in a storage basket.

5. Clear the counters. Too many appliances on your counter signal you don’t have enough storage in your cupboards. Clean out your cabinets to clear off your counters.

6. File. Extra newspapers or office files can be filed in trendy decorative boxes.

7. Landing zones. When you walk in the door from a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is worry about where you drop off your stuff. Using a storage bench or organizing your mud room will keep your clutter organized and out of the way.

8. Downsize your collection. Coffee mug collector? Only display a small amount of your collection.

9. Organize your closet. Use a closet organizer — stack your shoe boxes, use a shoe storage rack, hang up belts, etc.

10. Clean your medicine cabinet. Paint the inside of your cabinet. Clear out any medicine that could have expired.

Keeping your home organized will help you stay on track and find what you’re looking for faster.
